The Oxford Community Men’s Shed .
The Men’s Shed is a fully equipped workshop where skilled and unskilled people can spend time with each other and work together . It’s a place where it’s not all work ,this is a place where you can just Hang out and have a coffee.
By working with others you can learn new skills or polish up on old ones .Make a bookshelf or to wood turn.
The use of the tools provided is taken care of in your membership fee. Some materials however may be charged for at cheap rates.
The Shed does not take fee paying work away from trade professionals but there is no problem with making your own projects or for Charities.
You may from time to time be asked to assist in making something for the community and hopefully you will enjoy doing this sort of gifting for your community.
If you have never used power tools or tools of any description do not worry ,there are always supervisors to assist and train you .
The Shed is a positive place and the objective is to make you feel proud of yourself when you see the results of your work.
YOU WILL ALWAYS BE WELCOME AT THE SHED.
SMOKING OR CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL IS NOT ALLOWED ON THE PREMISES.
